Muslim Innocence: Bahrain Columnist Claims Islamic Violence is Caused by Jewish and Christian Conspiracy to “Discredit” Islam

This article from the Gulf News Daily is another example of how Islam and the West view events from a radically different perspective.

The Gulf Daily News reports: 

ZIONISTS and right wing Christian evangelists exploit US freedom of speech by fuelling sedition and hate between two great religions.

On the other hand, right wing religious elements are manipulating Muslims’ righteous indignation by turning lawful protests into demented violence.

In the US, it is argued that inflammatory speech is protected in the first amendment.

Yet I know of eight people who were unjustly dragged through Los Angeles federal courts for 15 years, accused of distributing less than 50 copies of a news magazine, which highlights the hypocrisy.

It seems the latest Islamophobic film Innocence of Muslims is part of a trend designed to deceptively turn the memories of 9/11 into a lasting conflict between Islam and the West, just one facet in a calculated Zionist crusade to discredit anyone challenging Israel.

I wouldn’t be surprised if it emerged producer Nakoula Basseley Nakoula was only a front for a pro-Israeli US group.

According to this story from Gulf Daily News (a news outlet that calls itself The Voice of Bahrain) there is no conflict between Islam and the West. The writer claims that the violent acts committed by “right-wing elements” within Islam would not occur at all if not for a conspiratorial “trend” between evil Zionists and right-wing Christians meant to “discredit” Islam. The writer claims that this time it was the now famous/infamous trailer for a movie called Innocence of Muslims that stirred up Muslims around the world. So, fellow Westerners, here we have the solution to the age-old conflict (the conflict that supposedly doesn’t exist) between the West and Islam. According to the writer from Bahrain (and most Muslims), Western man should simply embrace some form of dhimmitude and say nothing, even if true, that may offend Muslims.

Unfortunately, in this scenario, one purely Western notion will have to go; the notion of  freedom of speech. This freedom gives all men under its banner the right to state their opinions without fear of violence, whether those opinions are popular or unpopular, true or false. It’s obviously a freedom that is unacceptable to a great many Muslims. If the West is to get along with Islam, it appears that this freedom must be abandoned.

Thanks, but no thanks. The Western men that enjoy the freedom of speech are not likely (yet) to abdicate it. But, who knows? After a few more years have passed and a few more socialist/communist politicians have worked to soften-up the electorate, maybe there will be no more such freedoms. Until then, we’ll exercise our right to speak and say what is on our minds.
