The phrase tragically wrong is often employed as a euphemistic way of saying that another thug(s) has killed someone. It’s use here is as sarcasm toward that fact, not in disrespect of the tragedy that occurred.
A 21-year-old woman was shot dead Saturday night and five others wounded at a party in Seattle, Washington. This is another example proving that parties aren’t the same in every neighborhood. Remember those three age-old rules that predetermine whether a party is to be succesful: location; location; guest list. This story sounds like decent black people were simply trying to have a party (albeit a very big party) and the high percentage of miscreants in their numbers, once again, not permitting it.
From the SeattleTimes.com: [Emphasis added]
He recruited people to check IDs so troublemakers and gang members couldn’t infiltrate the crowd of mostly college students and recent graduates.

Standing in front of his two-story house Sunday, [Drew] Jones said he was still trying to understand what happened. “To see any of these children hurt, much less to see one pass … ,” he said, shaking his head as his voice trailed off.

Twenty-year-old Montrose Lucien said people were streaming out of the home’s big backyard, where the party was concentrated, when shooting started in the front. “At first I thought it was fireworks, then I saw a dude pull out a gun.”
Lucien and others raced for cover by the steps of the house. “It happened so quick. There was a lot of screaming and running.”
One of Lucien’s friends was shot in the leg, and he saw the woman who later died on the ground, bleeding. “She was saying: ‘I don’t want to die, I don’t want to die.’ “
Lucien said the crowd at the party was mixed, with people of various ages, and included some whom he recognized as gang members.
Police later recovered 20 to 30 shell casings at the scene. “I’m surprised more people didn’t get hit,” Lucien said.

Since the Times doesn’t think it is important to state the race of the shooters or the victims we can deduce such from several different clues within the article.
The safety measures taken (checking ID’s) to deter gang members from attending at this party indicates that it is probably a non-white event.
Also an indicator of race, the word pass used in this scenario indicates that the man hosting the party is almost certainly black. Mr. Jones’ use of the word pass is a black form of saying the young woman passed away.
How do you recognize gang members and not call the police?
More from the Seattle Times:
The shooting continues an unsettling run of gun violence in Seattle.
Most recently, Ian Stawicki killed five people, and wounded a sixth, at a University District coffee shop and near downtown before killing himself May 30.
Although this statement by the Times precedes a list of murders perpetrated by blacks, they added this entry first to remind the reader of the “truths” that white people kill innocent people too and that the new level of violent crime in Seattle is not a racial issue. We are all in this together, after all.
The difference is obvious; a white murderer committing this type of crime is not an everyday occurrence and they often commit suicide as a self-inflicted coup de grâce. Having multiple victims attacked by a black perpetrator is much more common and the black murderers almost never shoot themselves.
Many of the good (if decidedly liberal) people of Seattle don’t already know it but they are losing their city. Crime will only get worse and their commutes to work will only get longer.
Are you ready Seattle, for that conversation about race yet? Will Seattle and so much of liberal America ever be ready for such an honest conversation? That remains to be seen, but until then these murders will continue – and increase.

Thugs need to live on their side of town and us on our side of town. If you live in an area that has thugs coming to everyone’s parties like that you probably should hire real security guards.

Why are they hosting a party in a neighborhood where gang members can walk up into their home? They should move if that is the type of neighbors they have.
